Recording

Background

Our Mentor Program pairs volunteer mentors with educators wanting guidance or support on that journey.

Our mentors provide free support for educators who want to know more about pathways for integrating the science of learning into their practice for the benefit of all students.

Mentors and Mentees of the Semester 2 2023 Mentor Program came together for this welcome session

Meet the team

Naomi Nagorcka has worked as a primary classroom teacher in schools in Australia, the UK and Nepal. She currently has her dream job working as a reading intervention teacher in a large Melbourne school.

Brendan Lee is currently an Assistant Principal at a primary school in NSW. He's been through the emotional roller-coaster of life as teacher and previously left his job as a high school PDHPE teacher to run a cafe! Upon returning to education, he shifted his mindset to re-focus his purpose on making a difference to as many young people as possible.

Samantha Jelbart is a learning specialist in a Victorian country primary school. She coaches teachers in the Science of Reading and Learning and loves helping others continue to develop their knowledge and practice. She is passionate about all things literacy, numeracy and well being.
